SAN JOSE A teen boy was taken to the hospital and another was taken into police custody after a fight that ended with a stabbing at an East San Jose campus Thursday morning, police said.

San Jose police said in a social media post that the fight was reported at 8:28 a.m. in the 14000 block of Story Road, which is the location of multiple charter school campuses including two with high school programs.

Responding officers found one teen boy of high school age suffering from stabbing injuries; he was taken to a hospital with what police described as non-life threatening injuries.

The similarly aged boy who was accused of stabbing him was arrested, police said.

San Jose police said officers were expected to be on campus for a significant amount of time investigating the incident, and asked people and motorists to avoid the area if possible.
